Swaps

Ok all but one of my swap packages are put together and on their way to their new homes. I love putting together my swap packages and stalking my partners.

Along with putting packages together I also get to recieve them and I seem to be very lucky this round. I got a great package from my partner Linda for the Celebration of Life swap and my SP13 pal sent me my 2nd package which was absolutely lovely.

Full Weekend

No matter how much we get done during the week we still end up having full weekends. Most full of fun stuff but none the less we always seem to be doing something. This weekend little man had his first offical ski lesson and it was fantastic. The program we picked was absolutely the right fit. He had a blast and it was so much fun watching him. We go back in two weeks and do it all over again. I feel really grateful to have the opportunity to put him in lessons.

I've been working on all sorts of knitting too. I'm getting closer to finishing up my swap socks, yea. I'm finished shopping for all my partners and now am just waiting for the packages to arrive. Then I will send everything off next week and be done with them. For some reason the holidays really set me back on that part of my life. I love my swaps but I kind of feel off the wagon on staying up on them which is not like me. Oh well I have missed any deadlines and I'm really happy with my stalking and choices that I made for each of my partners. I've also started a new hat I'm excited to finish up. It looks great in all the pictures so we'll see what comes of it.

Knitting away

Well things are going well. I've been knitting for myself, my son and one of my swaps. Its going pretty good. I've been doing it while I'm driving to work which is about an hour drive. I'm really careful to only do it when no one else is around and the road conditions are perfect. Its knitting I don't have to look at otherwise I wouldn't be able to do it. I've been knittng myself a pair of vanilla socks in the rayon vert from Malabrigo and they are absolutely perfect. I love the color its wonderful. I really think it might take over for my other favorite color Velvet grapes. Now if I ever get my hands on the 100% spice market from Wollmeise that might trump them all. I haven't given up hope I believe its possible. Some day I will own that color. I have other colors and they are very nice so I'm sure that Spice Market will be just wonderful.

New Job

Well now that the new job is started in full force things are going good. I'm really enjoying it. It feels like a perfect fit. I love the families, they are just the type I love to work with. I'm looking forward to the future. I can tell it was the right move just by my moods. I have no hard feelings for me old job but it was such a good move on my part.

On top of that there is more coming my way. I have my private clients I can count on. I also have another possible opportunity coming my way which could be absolutely perfect for myself and my family. So we'll see how this all works out. I have a really positive feeling about all of this. It is coming my way. YEA me

I've been knitting my malabrigo socks and love them. I've even been knitting in the car. I am really excited to get them done. I have to knit a pair of socks for a swap partner which has me panicing but I'll do it and hope for the best. I'm really back into my knitting again and loving it. I need to knit my son a neck warmer for skiing. His chin gets so cold so I need to get that done by this weekend. So I better find some soft yarn for him. I have to think that pattern is going to be extremely easy.

I've also started to listen to my podcast again. Some a LOVE some not so much. They are so great to listen too especially when I'm driving. Current favorite is Knitmoregirls, Lime and Violet, Stash and Burn, She-Knits and Cast-On. Have a wonderful day

New Years Resolutions

Ok my new years resolution is that I will work on staying present. I've started my new job and LOVE it. I'm a bit concerned that maybe they won't be able to get me enough clients but I'm staying present so that won't get my totally nutty. I really like and feel like its a perfect fit.

Other parts of life are good. I have to stop myself from buying more yarn. I organzied my current stash (as I blush) holy cow who needs that much yarn? I even gave away my "cheap" stuff and made a pile for good yarns that I don't think I'll use. I hope to give them to friends or maybe trade them with others. I take off any restrictions when it comes to sock yarn by Wollesmies. I really want spice ???? and another color in browns. Other than that I don't "need" anything. I fell pretty luck to have been able to feed my addiction so well. He He He. who knows long this yarn diet will work. :0
