Life is good

Life is good and I'm expecting that it'll keep going that way. I don't want to fall into that pattern of waiting for things to go wrong. Really its such a waste of energy to always be waiting for the other shoe to fall. I prefer the life of looking for what works and I have to say that I think I might be breaking out of that pattern. At least I feel happier and that seems to be the best test. I've left some very negative energy behind and it took me a long time to shake it. But things are headed in the right direction. YEA LIFE

Update

Hi, I've been gone for a while but I didn't go very far. I was actually just right here. Life is busy which is good. Work is good. I wish it was a tad bit busier but its really good either way.

I'm back to knitting my FLS and still love it. I hope that doesn't go away during the process. I'm now officially in the "body" on the sweater. So its long rows of repetition. I can handle that I have my "ways". So its good. I've been knitting socks too. I got turned on to some new yarns which I'm totally in love with and will never knit with anything else (sighhhhhhh). Anyways I'm in love with Sundara sock, Bugga (Saugine Gyphon) and Numma Numma - the Usual. LOVE THEM. I've only knit with the Sundara but its the best thing out there. I've obtained some Numma and that will be my next sock which should be soon actually. I finishing up a pair of seeded socks in MadelainTosh. I like it but it feels a bit scratch to me so the jury is out until I wash them. Ok I think that's it for now. I hope to be back on a more regular basis.

Life is good

Life for us is really good. There seems to be chaos all around but here at home life is good. Knitting is going well. I've started to knit my first sweater and I'm really excited about it. I'm going to try and take my time and frog as needed. I want it to turn out right. I'm also working on my socks. I should be able to finish those up this weekend. Its all good, really good.

Venting

Ok I need to vent. I'm having work issues. I have 3 jobs, sort of. One is my full time job, one is my private practice and one is a small but pays well job. Its the 3rd job that is giving me an issue. My boss says to me yesterday that she isn't sure my energy is the right fit. WHAT the F... does that mean. So I asked her for specifics and she didn't have any. I did something wrong yesterday and I take full accountablity for that. I was unprofessional and probably disrespectful to her indirectly. What was this big sin - I talked during our treatment team meeting and came in 15 minutes late. Now the late part was approved by her at least until yesterday when she changed her mind. UGH. She's all about our energy and us being vulnerable about our own issues with the treatment team. If we aren't willing to do that our energy is wrong for the company. Hummmmm I wonder what the unemployment people would think about my energy. Ok I really am just venting. I wanted to be as angry as I could be and then let it go.

Now my decision is - is the companies energy good enough for me. :-)

I'm Tired

Ok the snow keeps coming and I'm kind of tired of it. I love the snow but its time for spring to finally get it. I'm not really crabby about it but I'd like spring to get here. My garden is looking great and I'm happy to see the progress.

Knitting is going well. I cast on a new pair of socks for my husband but the yarn I'm using is heavier than the mal I was using and I'm not sure how they are going to turn out. They seem too big so we'll have to see whats going to come of them.

I've made a new resolution about my yarn buying. I would like to say I'm totally done buying yarn I just think is pretty. But my hope is that I will slow way down. I've got so much sock yarn its nutty. I have great yarn too. One night I was thinking about it and decided that I'm going to start to use the "good" yarns. Why not, use it. So I started a pair of socks for my husband with the Sundara yarn and I couldn't be happier with it. I'd actually have to say that is currently my favorie. It knits up so fast I love it. Now i need to start stalking others to find the colors I want. I have about 6 skeins of it but not in my favorite colors. Actually out of practicality I need reds. So I now have a new goal. I love having a goal.

Reminder - Don't take life for granted

We just can't take life for granted. We have to live as today is all we got. A very young client died while doing what he loved. We need to tell those we love how much we love them just in case. Not to live in fear but just so they know we love them. Its a reminder of how precious life really is. For me its not about grieving its about apperciation. Don't feel sad for me just tell those who are important that you love them. Don't forget to tell those you love how much you really apperciate them. Don't hold back with excuses just do it. Because God has his own plan and we really aren't privy to it. Just call those you've been wanting to and let them know you love them. We are constantly taking life for granted and how amazingly selfish that really is.

Garden is Up and going

Yea my garden is up and going. In less than a week the plants started to poke up out of the ground. This is always such a fun part of the coming summer. I love planting and then watching them grow.

Knitting is going good. I'm about 3/4 done with my bag. I hope to finish it up tomorrow, get it felted and dried by Sunday. Maybe I'll even get it in the mail by the beginning next week. That would be really cool.

So if I haven't mentioned it earlier I've gotten sucked into the world of Facebook. How fun. I have found some very good old friends from my Navy times. Its so great to get back in touch with people I have such an intense history with. Its like we never lost touch.

Here are some pics of the garden and my latest swap gifts. I have to say I have some of the greatest swap partners. My packages from my SP13 partner have been great as have the ones from the sock swap. I love all of them
