I'm Tired

Ok the snow keeps coming and I'm kind of tired of it. I love the snow but its time for spring to finally get it. I'm not really crabby about it but I'd like spring to get here. My garden is looking great and I'm happy to see the progress.

Knitting is going well. I cast on a new pair of socks for my husband but the yarn I'm using is heavier than the mal I was using and I'm not sure how they are going to turn out. They seem too big so we'll have to see whats going to come of them.

I've made a new resolution about my yarn buying. I would like to say I'm totally done buying yarn I just think is pretty. But my hope is that I will slow way down. I've got so much sock yarn its nutty. I have great yarn too. One night I was thinking about it and decided that I'm going to start to use the "good" yarns. Why not, use it. So I started a pair of socks for my husband with the Sundara yarn and I couldn't be happier with it. I'd actually have to say that is currently my favorie. It knits up so fast I love it. Now i need to start stalking others to find the colors I want. I have about 6 skeins of it but not in my favorite colors. Actually out of practicality I need reds. So I now have a new goal. I love having a goal.

Reminder - Don't take life for granted

We just can't take life for granted. We have to live as today is all we got. A very young client died while doing what he loved. We need to tell those we love how much we love them just in case. Not to live in fear but just so they know we love them. Its a reminder of how precious life really is. For me its not about grieving its about apperciation. Don't feel sad for me just tell those who are important that you love them. Don't forget to tell those you love how much you really apperciate them. Don't hold back with excuses just do it. Because God has his own plan and we really aren't privy to it. Just call those you've been wanting to and let them know you love them. We are constantly taking life for granted and how amazingly selfish that really is.

Garden is Up and going

Yea my garden is up and going. In less than a week the plants started to poke up out of the ground. This is always such a fun part of the coming summer. I love planting and then watching them grow.

Knitting is going good. I'm about 3/4 done with my bag. I hope to finish it up tomorrow, get it felted and dried by Sunday. Maybe I'll even get it in the mail by the beginning next week. That would be really cool.

So if I haven't mentioned it earlier I've gotten sucked into the world of Facebook. How fun. I have found some very good old friends from my Navy times. Its so great to get back in touch with people I have such an intense history with. Its like we never lost touch.

Here are some pics of the garden and my latest swap gifts. I have to say I have some of the greatest swap partners. My packages from my SP13 partner have been great as have the ones from the sock swap. I love all of them

Knitting and more Knitting

Well I've been posting less but knitting more. I have a project I'm working on right now and have really been make some good time on it. Its a gift for a swap but I'm happy with pace.

I've also recieved my last package from another swap but of course the camera isn't cooperating so I didn't get to post pictures. I should have the camera fixed by tomorrow.

Ok how about the world of Facebook? I use to be one of those people who made fun of it. But now I've run into some friends that I knew in the Navy and have really enjoyed just seeing them online of course, but none the less its great to see them. I think I've changed my mind about the world known as Facebook. I can see how people get hooked so I need to be watchful but so far its just been really fun.
